Mary is right; it does sound simple: be the best person we can be. Still, too many individuals hold unrealistic expectations of themselves. Perhaps this is a by-product of societal expectations or a desire to achieve some level of societal success. The truth is, however, that there really is no way we can do better than we currently know how to do; therefore, we must simply aim to make the best choices we can, to the best of our God-given ability. Nigerian Actor Jailed For Having Sex With Another Man

A 28-year old actor, Bestwood Chukwuemeka, was on Monday sentenced to three-month imprisonment by a Karu  Senior Magistrates’ Court, Abuja, for having sexual intercourse with another man through the anus.

The convict, who resides at Gidan Mangoro, had pleaded guilty to having engaged in homosexual acts. Continue reading

Lagosians Beware: Police Ready to Enforce New Road Traffic Law Now

The police in Lagos have pledged to begin the full enforcement of the state Traffic Law, warning that nobody would be spared.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abubakar Umar Manko, who disclosed this Thursday after a meeting with the state Security Council at the Lagos House Marina, said the delay in the enforcement was in order to allow for public enlightenment and other requirements to be put in place to ensure easy compliance by members of the public. Man, 26, arraigned for alleged use of charms

A 26- year-old man, Victor Nmaduka, on Wednesday appeared before a  Karu  Area Court in Nassarawa State, for alleged use of charms.

The prosecutor, Inuwa Maigida, told the court that one Ige Mohammed and Haruna Usman of the same address with the accused reported the incident at the ‘A’ Division Marararba Police Station on August 25, the News Agency of Nigeria reports. Continue reading

Lagos Traffic Law Catches Bullion Van Driver

Officials of the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit has impounded a bullion van and arrested its driver in Apapa area of Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, for driving against traffic.

The bullion van driver, Seun Odukoya, faces one year jail term without an option of fine as a first offender for flouting the new Lagos State Road Traffic Law 2012 while the bullion van will be forfeited to the state government. Continue reading

Man jailed 3years for importing fake fulcin tablets into Nigeria

A middle-age man, Uzoma Madueke, was on Tuesday sentenced to three years imprisonment with hard labour by a Federal High Court in Lagos, south west, for importing fake fulcin tablets into Nigeria.

Justice Okon Abang, who handed down the verdict, stressed that it was rather sad that Madueke chose to intentionally indulge in a venture that could result in the death of Nigerians. Continue reading
