The Perspective

“Beauty–in projection and perceiving–is 99.9% attitude.” ~Grey Livingston …

The world in which we live is ours to create. It is primarily a result of our attitudes and perspectives of it. Therefore, the beauty we see in it, by and large, is a reflection of ourselves and how we react to the world around us. If we are able to see and appreciate our own beauty, the world around us will become beautiful as well.

It is one of the great truths of life–everything is reciprocal. You get what you give, and you are only able to give to the extent that you allow yourself to receive. Therefore, the only way to find beauty in life is to recognize the inherent beauty you already possess within–it is available to you and it is within your grasp.

Start from within. Choose to see the beauty you possess, and then share that appreciation and positive attitude out to the rest of the world. And just like happiness, love, and caring concern given out to others comes back to you, the positive attitude and appreciation of the beauty within you, will radiate back.

Keep an attitude of appreciation for the beauty within you today.

Questions to consider:

What does it mean to you when you hear that beauty is 99.9% attitude? Is this true in your life?

How might we get into the habit of not recognizing and responding to the beautiful things in life?

Can you see something as beautiful right now that you had not recognized as beautiful before?
