“Be who you were created to be, and you will set the world on fire.” ~St. Catherine of Sienna
Who was I created to be? Do I ever take the time to answer this question? Surely, it is a question with many answers… answers that change over time as I grow and experience new things in life. But am I aware of who I was created to be at this very moment? If I am, what am I doing to bring this person to life?
We are unique individuals who have more gifts and talents to bring to life than anyone could ever imagine. Catherine is right… if any of us choose to be the person we were created to be, we will surely “set the world on fire” with our talents, our passion, and all the beauty that we create around us.
Society tends to look disfavourably on those who do not follow the norm. But we were not born to be another copy of someone else. That is why they say God broke the mold when he created each of us–there can be no other like you.
You are truly unique. Do you let that uniqueness show?
Determine who you were created to be at this moment in your life.
Questions to consider:
In what ways are you a doer rather than a follower? How is this conducive to your talents and abilities?
How can we go about defining our unique lives and truly living them?
What are some ways you can encourage others to be themselves?
